Beautiful New Dishes & a Snow Day

Hello everyone,

A couple of days ago I lucked in
to some beautiful new china at the
thrift store and I couldn't resist them.
I think they will look pretty for our
Easter table this year.
It is a set of eight except only
four teacups but I am sure I
can mix and match again.

They are hand painted in England.
"Lowestoft"

A little Easter vignette in the
porch.

It may be spring but we had a blizzard here
last night shutting down most of the Island
last night and most of the day.

You can see we had a good blast of winter above
and below. I am hoping that is the last storm and some mild temps.
will get melt it all soon.

In the mean time our little ' Snow Princess' Lila

and I enjoyed a walk in the woods yesterday.

Lila and I enjoyed some one on one
                                                               time baking cookies,having tea and
                                                               a walk in the woods.

Go ahead and enjoy a sugar cookie before
they are all gone!

Looking forward to a fun time
          tonight with our grandchildren as
   our driveways are now open
again and the travelling is
good once again.

Thank you for visiting!

Carolyn

What a pretty set of dishes, Carolyn! Perfect for an Easter table setting. Lila is adorable dressed in her Snow Princess outfit! I agree with you; I hope this will be our last storm. It's Spring now and we just want to see the grass turning green and the song birds singing their melodies in the trees. Of course I know you're anxious to get into your garden too.

Blessings,
Sandi

The china is gorgeous, you sure lucked out my friend.
Love your Spring vignette, although outside it it looks like a real Winter's wonderland.

I totally love Lila's white cape. Did you make it? I 've not seen any quite like that. I made my grandaughter a cape and muff, but love this white one.
Gorgeous pictures.

All the pictures are beautiful! Where did you get (or what pattern did you use to make) the snow queen outfit?! My 8 year old loved it! Every time I see your vintage tea finds it makes me want to go to the thrift stores! And such sweet little chick cookies as well ❤

I was quite surprised to see my china when I opened your post today. Love the colours and flowers on Lowenstoft. I found a 42 piece set while living in BC. When we moved to NS I bought a smaller set so I wld have extra plates cups, etc. Such a beautiful pattern that was made exclusively for Canada. Enjoy your new purchase, perfect for Spring. Patty

The thrift store china is lovely Carolyn, and very suited to spring and Easter. I hope that is the last blizzard for you as well, that's a lot of snow! We've moved on to freezing rain with only small patches of snow left and spring bulbs are starting to peek out of the soil.
Happy Spring.

Thank you for your kind comments.

Lila's outfit actually came from our local Winner's (tjmaxx) a few years ago.
It is made of fleece and wouldn't be hard to make.

Have a great weekend,
Carolyn

Carolyn, somebody on Facebook sent me to your blog. Beautiful. Are you by any chance a bed and breakfast?
